Candidates must pay an International SAT registration fee of $60 and SAT regional registration fees to take the SAT exam in all International locations. College Board SAT Registration Procedure 2022-2023

Students can opt to register for SAT through online and offline modes. College Board is the official authority that conducts the SAT, but it has not specified any Eligibility Criteria for SAT 2022. In addition, the college Board has specified no age limit for students to register for SAT 2022.

Students usually attempt the SAT after the fall of Junior High School (10th class) and the start of Senior school (12th) for admission to undergraduate programs in various universities and colleges. The complete step-by-step SAT registration process is shared below.

Step 1: Students must visit the College Board’s official website for SAT registration.

Step 2: Click on the “Create Account” option.

Step 4: Fill in the required general information details like First name, Last date, Gender, Email address, etc.

Step 6: Once a student has filled in the required details, click on ‘I agree with the Legal Terms for Students’ to move to the next page. Tick on all checkboxes and click on confirm option.

Step 7: Now, you must confirm the code sent to your email on the next page. Fill in all details asked, like mobile number, create a new password, and write a phrase (write any word more than 4 characters). You will be redirected to another page with the College Board dashboard with the “Register for SAT” Link.

Step 8: Edit your school information, graduation date, name of your high school, and graduation year (high school). If your high school is not listed, click on the not listed option and continue.

Step 9: Fill in personal information like race, parent(s) qualification, and Language.

Step 11: The candidate has to fill in the high school courses they have taken or are planning to take in each English, Maths subject, Coursework Science, Coursework Social Studies, Coursework Language in the next 5 pages.

Step 13: The candidate needs to select the highest education grade they plan to complete beyond high school in the next step.

Step 14: In the next step, the candidate has to select the testing Country or Region where the candidate wants to take the SAT test. In the next step, the student must select the test type (SAT) and date.

Step 15: Next step is uploading a photo for the SAT. The photo that the candidate wants to upload should not be too small and must be of size 325 x 390 pixels.

Step 16: This is the last step and involves payment of fees for SAT test.

SAT Registration by Mail

Students living in the USA can also register for SAT through the mail. In addition, SAT registration by mail is available in exceptional circumstances. The process for SAT registration through the mail is shared below.

  •  Candidates need to contact the school principal or counselor for Student Registration Guide for the SAT.
  • For SAT registration through the mail, students need the SAT guide, which contains a registration form and an envelope to mail.
  • The SAT application form needs to be sent along with a demand draft of fees.
  • The facility of late registration is unavailable for SAT registration by mail.

How to Cancel SAT Registration Online?

A candidate can cancel SAT registration by logging in to their “My SAT” account. If a student cancels the SAT registration before SAT day, they can obtain full reimbursement of their registration fee, but a cancellation fee is charged.
Students can cancel the SAT registration five days before the test and get a $35 refund. However, students will not receive a partial refund if they miss the deadline. Students who have missed to cancel sat registration on time they can skip the test, and their SAT registration will be considered canceled.
Students can also reschedule the test to another date instead of canceling the SAT examination. However, candidates will have to spend an additional $29 to reschedule the test to their preferred date and exam center.
