Comet ISON update for October 30, 2013

Check out this this image of Comet ISON and χ Leo (apparent magnitude 4.63). Martin Mobberley was able to capture the image via iTelescope earlier this morning.

Another worthwhile image is this one captured in Russia by Henry Selevich earlier this morning. In the image we see Comet ISON and asteroid 159 Aemilia.

Here’s what that looks like zoomed in within Stellarium.

ISON still appears relatively healthy despite the recent pesky moonlight, which has been interfering with the ability to capture decent pictures of the comet.

In other news, Comet C/2013 R1 Lovejoy has become a target in binoculars.
